An Irish poem by Seamas O'Neill that resonates deeply with me right now (a 4 year old and a 2 year old)

Whenever I get frustrated with the (constant, never ending) mess, step on some lego (again) trying not to lose my mind over how poorly written the Cocomelon songs are (I Like it ooooo !?!?!) or find some more ‘artistic expressions’ have been created on a wall, I think of this poem and realise that one day these ‘frustrations’ will be something I yearn for (Except for cocomelon)

As an exhausted parent it’s easy to lose sight of how fleeting these early years are.
